Rajasthan Road Tragedy: 11 Devotees Dead After Pick-Up Collides with Trailer Truck in Dausa

Eleven people lost their lives when a pick-up truck carrying devotees from Khatu Shyam Temple collided with a trailer truck near Bapi village in Rajasthan’s Dausa district early Wednesday morning.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ravi Prakash Sharma confirmed that the death toll rose to 11 after one injured victim succumbed in the hospital. The accident occurred between 3:30 AM and 3:45 AM in the Bapi police station area.

Dausa District Collector Devendra Kumar said that nine injured passengers have been referred to Jaipur for advanced treatment, while three are being treated at the District Hospital.

A survivor, Santosh Kumar from Etah, said there were around 22–23 people in the pick-up, including children as young as six, some of whom also perished in the crash.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
